Today I am rejoicing! We have received news that a couple who had been through an ugly divorce and years of struggling is getting remarried--to each other! Their love and trust for one another have been restored, and while I'm sure it has not and will not be an easy road, I am so thrilled to see God's redemption!
If you don't know, my parents were divorced before I was born. We don't know the details, but we do know that Daddy accepted Jesus during the separation and then pursued my mother and convinced her of his love and devotion. They were remarried and had three more children and 22 more years together before their deaths. Daddy often referred to me as their "love child"--if my math is correct, I was conceived around the anniversary of their first marriage date a few months after they were remarried.
I know God does not always choose to work in this way, redeeming relationships on earth, but when he does, it's amazing and powerful and overwhelming. Please join me in rejoicing and praising God for his redeeming acts of love in restoring relationships!
